Moon Slice
On this, my 8825th day, I can tell the weather was fine, even though it is the second to last day of Autumn, and I've been in the lab all day. Two ways: 1) I could feel the residual warmth emanating from the lamposts as I sauntered past on my way home from work in the twilight, 2) My "liquid" handsoap was actually liquid! It has been rather more gelatinous of late.
A slice of moon is sliding across my kitchen window right now. I've never seen it from this angle before. It looks larger because of the light scatter caused by the dirty window (hey, it's dust from the road), and also there are perspective issues coming into play.
